CO2 in Lithuania consolidated by the partnership between Rimi and CAREL
RIMI, REFRA and CAREL INDUSTRIES have worked together to develop a series of new supermarkets in Lithuania in which the refrigeration units all operate on natural refrigerant, using carbon dioxide only.
Transcritical CO2 systems have therefore taken hold in north-eastern Europe too, thanks to CAREL and Rimi supermarkets
The first of these was "Mažeikiai", located in north-west Lithuania, since followed this year alone by a further seven new Rimi supermarkets with CAREL electronics for managing transcritical CO2 booster systems.
