CAREL in the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment

CAREL in the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment
CAREL, represented by Luigi Nalini, has taken up a position on the Steering Committee of the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE). This is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to defend the interests of the HVAC, commercial and industrial refrigeration sectors, with special attention to environmental issues. EPEE's mission is to promote a better understanding of the HVAC sector in Europe, and to contribute to the development of effective European policies in order to achieve a long-term sustainability agenda.

CAREL's strong focus on high energy saving solutions represents an important meeting point with the priorities of the EPEE over the coming years. The organisation in fact aims to promote energy efficiency and encourage the use of higher performance products, so as to reduce CO2 emissions. Consequently, the use of natural refrigerants and the ongoing research CAREL conducts in this area make our presence on the Executive Committee especially significant.

The EPEE has 41 member companies and associations, including manufacturers of components, refrigeration systems, heat pumps and refrigerants, businesses that employ more than 200,000 people in Europe and generate consolidated sales exceeding 30 billion euros. An important group of businesses that have combined to form a solid and organised network to voice the needs of the sector.
